Riding with Purpose: Supporting Team ABC on the Road to the Hamptons
Some bike rides are about fitness. Some are about fun. This one? It’s about making a real difference.
On October 4th, Team ABC will hit the road, pedaling 100 miles from New York City to the Hamptons. They’re not just doing it for the thrill—they’re riding to raise awareness and funding for autism support through the Bike to the Beach event.
This year’s ride holds deep meaning. The team is led by Melissa Swailes, daughter of Jay Shulman, and the ride is in honor of Brooklyn and Carter—two individuals who inspire the team’s mission of inclusion and advocacy.
Backing a Mission that Impacts Thousands
At the heart of this effort is the Nassau/Suffolk Autism Society of America (NSASA). This local organization supports more than 4,000 families across Long Island, offering free programs that are both inclusive and accessible. Whether it’s community outings, educational resources, or peer events, NSASA is helping families feel supported—every step of the way.
Last year, this ride helped raise a staggering $111,000. This year, the goal is simple: go even bigger.

Let’s Push the Finish Line Even Further
You don’t have to ride 100 miles to make an impact. A simple donation, a shared post, or words of encouragement go a long way. These riders are putting in the miles. Let’s help them make every one count.
Support Team ABC. Support JTS. Support the cause.
